About Jeff Garczewski

My background in design stems from years of drawing and painting as a child. I bring that illustration mindset to my design work. Illustration work is something I find very enjoyable and fulfilling in addition to print design, identity design, and web design.

I attended Kent State University and worked for a print shop in Columbus, Ohio for a few years. There I learned great deal about the production side of graphic design. In June of 2005 my wife and I moved to Charlotte county Florida where I started working for myself full time. I've built a network of local and out-of-state contacts that drive the majority of my business, but I'm always looking for new clients and new work.

SKILLS

I believe that there are two types of web creators: web developers and web designers. Web developers are very tech-savvy and can create a very robust functional site with a streamlined database backend with no problem. More than likely however they lack the design aesthetics  to make the site user friendly and professionally designed. Most designers on the other hand may be able to layout a beautiful page design but have no idea how to code it.

I consider my self to be a designer first but yet a developer second. I still posses the geek sense to code my designs using current web standards. I use css positioning with XHTML. My sites are built from the ground up to be Search Engine Optimized (SEO). Search sites like google, yahoo, or msn have no difficulty indexing my client's websites.

In addition to my web design I also am an illustrator. I've produced both cartoons and painterly illustrations for production and for the web. Illustration is something I enjoy very much and I look forward to doing more illustration work in the future.

I can also do print design and identity design. This service can range from a simple brochure or logo to a corporate identity system that includes signage, letterhead and packaging.
